WELCOME
 Established in 1952 by Bert and Helen Richardson, Elkhorn Lakes has been a favorite pay lake for fishing enthusiasts for more than 60 years.  Nestled in a valley along the east fork of the Whitewater River, Elkhorn Lakes is located in the most picturesque area of Wayne County.  Generations of anglers have enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and family environment that is minutes away from Richmond, IN.  Still family owned and operated, Elkhorn Lakes continues to provide a great fishing experience. Whether you're fishing just for the fun of it or trying to catch something for dinner or hoping to win jackpot cash, there is something for everyone.

Celebrating 60 years of fishing (1952-2012)by doing something different this year:

 There will be four tournaments this summer to lead up to the Big One on Labor Day

Where:  Elkhorn Lakes 4243 Endsley Rd. Richmond, IN

When:  8 am to 6 pm on Sundays, April 29, May 20, June 24, and July 29 (Mark your calendars.)

How Much: $75.00  (that’s $50 for the tournament + $10 for your ticket + $4 for the 3^rd pole (not required) + $11 for all the carp jackpots (also not required). If you want to enter the catfish jackpot it’s $4.  So the entry fee can be anywhere between $60 and $79, depending what you want to enter etc. 

 Payout based on 50 entries:  $100 every thirty minutes for the largest carp.  (Do the math)   

50 X $50 = $2500 

20 thirty minute intervals in 10 hours at $100 each = $2000 

(So where does that extra $500 go?) 

It goes into the kitty for the final tournament on Labor Day, Sept. 3, 2012. (We’ll call it the Elkhorn Championship) 

To qualify for the Elkhorn Championship all you have to do is win ONE thirty minute slot in any of the four tournaments….that’s it! 

 On Labor Day we should have a couple thousand dollars (maybe more/maybe less) to award big prizes for the largest fish of the day, most fish of the day, a random drawing, trophy or whatever. Feel free to contact Tom Tout, Jr. or Carlene with suggestions.
